Earlier this month, literaturhaus was awarded the 2019 NYSCA NYTAP Regrant and Professional Development Consulting by Community of Literary Magazines and Presses [CLMP].

"New York State has one of the most active populations of literary publishers in the country, and is home to the largest number of CLMP members. The NYSCA-funded New York State Technical Assistance Program [NYTAP] is a program administered by CLMP and supported by the New York State Council on the Arts Literature Program that provides assistance specifically to the magazines and presses of New York State."

The awarded funds will go towards the upcoming launch of HAUS RED, a seasonal newsletter that will recount the story of a featured title and trace its path from the writing and editing process through to production, marketing, and sales. Juxtaposing the featured title with a nexus of titles and themes, HAUS RED offers readers and writers alike an intimate view into the worlds of independent book publishing.

As part of our commitment to process and community, HAUS RED is another step toward developing and strengthening the ties that bind the publishers, editors, agents, translators, graphic designers, publicists, readers, writers, and all whole support every step of the publication of books.
